Services
The Gatlinburg Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that offers the following services to our visitors and residents.
Vehicle Unlocks/Motorist Assist: The Patrol Division performs vehicle unlock services and can come to the aid of motorists with disabled vehicles. Please understand that some newer vehicles are not able to be unlocked and most disabled vehicles will require the assistance of a tow or service truck. Patrol Officers can have a tow truck from our rotation or by your request dispatched to your location.
Out-of-Town Extra Patrols: The Gatlinburg Police Department can do extra patrols of your residence while you are out of town for a short period of time. Stop by the Police Department and complete an extra patrol request form to use this service.
Business Emergency Contact: If you are the owner or manager of a business in Gatlinburg please stop by or call the Gatlinburg Police Department and have a Business Emergency Contact form e-mailed or faxed to you. Once you return the form, the Police Department will have 24-hour contact information for your business in the event of an emergency.
O.P.C. Licensing: The Gatlinburg Police Department issues licenses for Off-Premise Contacts that work within the City. License requests must be made in person during normal business hours.
Drug Take Back Program: The Gatlinburg Police Department has a secure box located in the lobby of the police department where unused and no longer needed drugs and narcotics can be disposed of. The contents of this box are incinerated at a DEA and EPA compliant incinerator in an effort to keep these drugs out of the wrong hands and out of our landfills and water supply.
