GATLINBURG, Tenn.—The Gatlinburg Recreation Department and Rocky Top Sports World will again partner for the 11th Annual Gatlinburg Halloween Spooktacular on Tuesday, October 29.
The free community event, presented by the Gatlinburg Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 6 p.m. and will again be held on the campus of Rocky Top Sports World. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. In addition to numerous booths from community partners, this year’s Spooktacular will also feature a performance by the Gatlinburg-Pittman High Schook marching band, costume contests for children and those distributing candy, a contest for the best booth decoration, a parking lot chalk contest, and a spooky photo booth. Judging for the costume contest for all ages (pre-K through High School) begins at 6 p.m.
Hot dogs, snacks, and water will also be provided by Food City and Tennessee State Bank during the event, which lasts until 8 p.m.
“We are pleased to offer our annual Spooktacular event to the Gatlinburg community to provide a safe, fun, environment for our children,” Gatlinburg Parks and Recreation Director Laurence Evans said. “This event is always a big success and without the support of our community partners, it would not be possible.”
Gatlinburg’s annual Spooktacular event has been honored in the past as a Four-Star Best Special Award event winner by the Tennessee Parks and Recreation Association.
