GATLINBURG, Tenn.—The City of Gatlinburg announces its Utilities Department is scheduled to begin work on the Hidden Hills Waterline Installation Project, with initial activities starting this week. This vital infrastructure improvement project will enhance water service reliability for residents and properties in the Hidden Hills area.
To facilitate this work, crews will begin by marking and sawing the roadway from the intersection of Proffitt Road to Oriole Road. Due to construction, Hidden Hills Road will be closed to through traffic during daytime work hours, which are slated to be 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. regarding this project. However, residents and property owners will retain access to and from their properties throughout the duration project, even when the road is closed.
The waterline replacement is expected to take up to eight weeks to complete.
The City appreciates the community’s patience and understanding as it works to improve Gatlinburg’s water infrastructure.
