GATLINBURG, Tenn.—The Gatlinburg Bowling Center, located inside the Gatlinburg Community Center, is thrilled to announce its reopening following a comprehensive renovation project. Approved by the Gatlinburg City Commission in January 2024, this project represents the first major overhaul of the Bowling Center since it opened in 1989.
An exciting highlight of the renovation is the integration of Brunswick Bowling’s Spark Immersive system, a cutting-edge feature that transforms traditional bowling into an interactive experience with augmented reality. The Gatlinburg Bowling Center is now the only facility in East Tennessee to offer this innovative system, allowing bowlers of all ages to enjoy a truly unique and immersive experience.
“This renovation project demonstrates the City’s commitment to enhancing recreational opportunities for residents and visitors,” said Recreation Director Laurence Evans. “The Spark Immersive system, along with updated lanes, new equipment, and modernized interiors, elevates the experience at the City’s Bowling Center to an entirely new level.”
The updated Gatlinburg Bowling Center now features completely new lanes, advanced technology, and an updated, modern facility, that extends into the adjacent game room, creating a refreshed and inviting atmosphere. The newly updated Bowling Center will provide patrons a top-tier recreational experience, allowing those who enjoy the sport a modern facility to do so. Patrons will also be able to enjoy a pro shop which will allow individuals to buy bowling equipment to fit their needs. Additionally, the facility includes a renovated party room, which is a dedicated facility and able to be rented by patrons.
